What Are Porcelain Veneers?
Porcelain veneers are ultra-thin shells of high-quality ceramic material that are custom-designed to conceal a broad range of aesthetic tooth imperfections with a beautiful, natural-looking façade. Veneers are fitted and firmly cemented to the visible front side of each tooth for a strong, seamless bond. The enhanced teeth should feel and function just like natural teeth—you can enjoy all of your favorite foods and perform the same basic dental hygiene routine dentists have always recommended. The results achieved with porcelain veneers are typically durable and stain-resistant for a beautiful outcome that can be extremely long-lasting with proper care.Growing up, I was never liked my smile and I opted to get veneers a few years ago. Unfortunately, the colors and shapes were off and not to my liking. About a year ago, I decided to look for another cosmetic dentist to fix my poorly constructed veneers. I went on a few consultations prior to visiting Dr. Kosdon’s office. The atmosphere of Dr. Kosdon’s office, as well as the friendly and helpful staff, especially Lisa, immediately made me feel welcomed and comfortable. Dr. Kosdon is a fantastic cosmetic dentist and an expert in veneers. He thoroughly listened to my concerns and truly made the best veneers to my satisfaction. I highly recommend going to Dr. Kosdon if you are considering getting veneers. He is a top-notch cosmetic dentist who cares about his patients and takes the time to make sure they are doing well and pleased with his work. Thank you Dr. Kosdon and Lisa for making my experience a great one!Hilary R

What Are the Benefits of Porcelain Veneers?
Porcelain veneers are often the best way to conceal perceived dental flaws and achieve a complete smile makeover with a relatively simple procedure. Whether you want to change the color, alignment, spacing, shape, size, and/or length of your teeth, custom-designed porcelain veneers can achieve your smile goals. As an additional benefit, the veneers procedure is also very conservative—meaning only a thin layer of enamel must be buffed away to accommodate the veneer. This process is virtually painless and maintains the natural strength of your teeth. Best of all, porcelain veneers designed and placed by Dr. Kosdon yield beautifully unique, long-lasting smiles. We encourage you to look through incredible before-and-after photos of Dr. Kosdon’s porcelain veneers patients to witness the distinctive smile makeover results he is known for.Who is A Candidate for Porcelain Veneers?
Porcelain veneers can be a suitable treatment for virtually any individual with healthy teeth (or relatively minor dental issues) who wants to improve the appearance of their smile. Common aesthetic imperfections that can be corrected with veneers include:- Deeply stained or discolored teeth
- Mild to moderate misalignments
- Short or worn teeth
- Chipped or cracked teeth
- Misshapen teeth
- Minor gaps between teeth
Porcelain Veneers vs. Crowns
Porcelain veneers and crowns can both be used to create improvements in the appearance of your teeth; however, these restorations are actually quite different from each other. While a veneer is a wafer-thin piece of ceramic that covers just the outward facing side of a tooth to change its aesthetic qualities, porcelain crowns are larger and shaped to fit over the entire surface of a damaged tooth. To accommodate a crown, a tooth must be significantly reduced to create a sturdy post of healthy tooth material. When the crown is placed and bonded over the top of the prepared tooth, the entire structure/appearance of the tooth is restored and the remaining tooth body is well-protected. Alternatively, porcelain veneers (especially minimal-prep veneers), require only a small amount of tooth enamel to be removed to accommodate their thickness.I just got my vaneers done through Dr kosdon, and wowww is all I have to say. I feel like a complete new person. The reason I say that is because before I got this procedure. I had an open bite that caused me to have a lisp. After I got my vaneers done my lisp decreased and my teeth look perfect and so natural. Dr kosdon and his employees also make you feel at home when you are there.
